¡Hay que hacer el deber!(You have to do the work!)Our afternoon activities are a wonderful way to put to practice what one learns in class, however studying one on one with a teacher; building a vocabulary and learning grammar must come first. The administration of Jardin de America, in accordance to the regulations set forth by the Guatemalan Minesterio de Educación, has carefully designed a plan to teach Spanish as a second language. Our MethodologyOur teaching methods are based on learning correct grammar through very intensive classes with oral and written exercises. Basic conversation is also a very important part of our program for analyzing pronunciation as well as accent. Formal reading and reading comprehension is highly stressed. To help you to be able to understand different accents, we suggest studying with a different teacher every week, although you may stay with the same teacher if you prefer. Objectives of the School
Our General Academic Schedule
Learning verb conjugation is just plain work, work that must be done, but the sense of accomplishment that comes with actually speaking with someone in their language makes it all worthwhile. |
